Begin Your Journey to an In-Demand Career

The G3 Program is a tuition assistance program for any Virginia resident who qualifies for in-state tuition and whose family income falls below an identified threshold. Eligible students may enroll in designated programs leading to jobs in high-demand fields.

Any Virginia resident who meets the following requirements is eligible for the G3 program:

  • qualifies for in-state tuition,
  • has a total household income of less than or equal to 400% of the Federal Poverty Level (roughly an income of $100,000 for a family of four),
  • is enrolled for a minimum of six credit hours in a Virginia community college,
  • is enrolled in a designated G3 program, and
  • has applied for federal and/or state financial aid programs.

Current Students

  • If you are a currently enrolled student in a G3 program…
    • Step 1: Contact your assigned student services advisor for assistance with class enrollment, if needed.
    • Step 2: If you have not already done so, complete the FAFSA Application.*
  • If you are a currently enrolled student who wants to change your program of study to a G3 program…

* Your eligibility for G3 funding will be based on your FAFSA information, and the financial aid office will notify you if you are eligible.
